Rountree Council for Preservation will offer inspiration and appreciation for the extraordinarily diverse forms of architecture and beauty of five homes and gardens featured in one of Springfield’s historic neighborhoods. This self-paced walkable tour provides insight into the history and design inspiration of these homes and gardens. Discover the intersection of design, restoration, and preservation by engaging with the homeowners.
Park and ride the complimentary shuttles starting at University Heights Baptist Church at 1010 S. National. Follow Facebookand Instagram for showhouse location announcements and previews as the House Tour Event approaches.

Roaring River State Park will host a wildflower walk on Pibern Trail. Learn about native wildflowers at Roaring River on this guided 1.5-mile hike on Pibern Trail. Bring water, snacks, sun protection and sturdy shoes, and meet at the trailhead at the back of Campground 1. Pibern Trail has several steep sections, and there could be water over the trail in some areas.
This program is free and open to the public, and there is no need to register. The hike will not be canceled due to rain alone, but it will be canceled if there is lightning in the area.

The Springfield Art Museum will present a musical performance and presentation on Mental Health in our Communities on Saturday, May 11 in the auditorium from 2 to 4 pm.
Patrick Mureithi is a Springfield, Missouri musician, documentary filmmaker, and public speaker. He focuses on mental health and recovery and touches on his personal journey through self-medication, psychiatric abuse, homelessness, and eventual recovery through spirituality, focus on physical health, and community support. Mureithi will speak and perform original music.
