The Springfield Conservation Nature Center will celebrate the annual return of bald eagles to Lake Springfield on January 17.

The event will include live birds of prey from Dickerson Park Zoo with programs held at the Nature Center at 10 am, 11 am, and noon. Opportunities to view bald eagles in the wild, with the assistance of volunteers and spotting scopes, will be available at the Lake Springfield Boathouse from 9 am to 4 pm.

All ages. No registration is required.

The GLO Market is a monthly event supporting local queer-owned businesses and resources. The market showcases local talent from artists and entrepreneurs.

OACAC’s MO Mac & Cheese Fest will return for its sixth year on January 17.

The day will feature samples of mac & cheese from local restaurants, live music from Luce Cannons, kids’ activities, and more.

Proceeds support Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) and its vision of people living an optimal, empowered life, free from poverty.

The Springfield Conservation Nature Center will host a candlelit woods walk January 23 along the Boardwalk Trail, which will be softly lit by luminaries. Bring a flashlight and dress for the weather.
