First Friday Art Walk returns Aug. 7, bringing art, live music, food and local businesses together during the Springfield Regional Arts Council's monthly downtown celebration.

This Place We Make is a regional cultural plan for Springfield and the Ozarks for the next 10 years. The process identified areas that need expansion and attention so the arts can continue to thrive in our community.

The plan is a "creative roadmap for the Ozarks" for the next 10 years.

In partnership with the Community Foundation of the Ozarks and the Jeannette L. Musgrave Foundation, the SRAC will grant $220,000 to 23 nonprofit organizations.

The funding was included in an amendment to a bill amending the General Fund budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026.
