Nixa City Council

After over a year of work the City of Nixa is ready to move forward with a new comprehensive plan to guide the city’s growth over the next 20 years.

The city amended its budget to allow for promotions and hiring two new officers to the Nixa Police Department. The money comes from a public safety sales tax passed in 2023.

The five-year capital improvement plan covers expected costs for upgrades to city infrastructure, new buildings and expenses on major equipment like vehicles.

City administrators hope to raise wages to stay competitive, and are waiting on revenue numbers from new sales tax to finalize plans.
