The Springfield Vegan Chef Challenge will be held during the month of May with a celebration of new vegan dishes across town. Businesses across the area will showcase special vegan menu items, giving everyone the opportunity to explore creative plant-based dishes crafted by talented local chefs.

Whether your interest is bow-hunting or recreational target shooting, archery is an activity that can be enjoyed by the entire family.
People can learn more about the fundamentals of archery and how these skills can be enjoyed by family members of all ages on May 11 at a free clinic at the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Andy Dalton Shooting Range and Outdoor Education Center. The clinic, “Learning Archery: Family Archery” will be 3-4:30 p.m. and will include classroom and hands-on shooting opportunities. The event is open to all ages, but it’s designed for families. The Dalton Range is located near Ash Grove at 4897 N. Greene County Farm Road 61.
Topics that will be covered in the course by MDC Assistant Outdoor Education Center Manager Steve Govero will include shooting fundamentals and safety. Archery equipment for the hands-on portion of the workshop will be provided by Dalton Range staff. People can register for this event at:

The Foundation for Springfield Public Schools will present a Lunch & Learn addressing the critical healthcare workforce shortage impacting our community. Shallina Goodnight, Executive Director of the Alliance for Healthcare Education, will speak about an innovative partnership between Missouri State University, Ozarks Technical Community College, Springfield Public Schools, and CoxHealth.
This session will highlight how this strategic collaboration is forging accessible pathways for students to pursue and advance in healthcare careers, directly strengthening our region's future.

This is a hands on cooperative and collaborative filmmaking class for teens (13-18) and another separate class for tweens (10-12). Cover the major aspects of filmmaking from screenwriting through to film editing and then collaborate together to produce original short films.
