U.S. Drought Monitor

Drought is currently affecting more than 10 percent of Missouri’s population, according to the most recent update of the official U.S. Drought Monitor map on Thursday.

The alert was set to expire at the end of the year, and it will now go until May 1.

Recent rains have helped, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor, but most of the state is still dry.
