Documentary addressing the polarized political climate and how to find common ground to be shown in Springfield

The screening will be held on Thursday, June 12.

Our weekly program, Making Democracy Work, is a collaboration between KSMU Radio and the League of Women Voters of Southwest Missouri. It's hosted and produced by volunteers from the LWV, and it airs each Monday morning at 9:45 on KSMU.

In this episode of Making Democracy Work, Leslie Carrier talks with fellow LWV member Allison Cash, moderator for the upcoming screening for “Undivide Us.”

She talks about the nonpartisan documentary that explores current political polarization across the country. The LWV is partnering with the Springfield-Greene County Library to bring this documentary to the community.

Cash said a main goal is to provide a forum for the community to have a conversation that seeks to find commonality over division.

“Undivide Us” is a free event and will be held on Thursday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Schweitzer Brentwood Library, 2214 S. Brentwood Blvd. in Springfield.
