Springfield’s newest councilman is hosting a community meeting for Zone 2 constituents Wednesday night.
Dr. Tom Prater was selected in September to fill the vacancy left by Justin Burnett.
He’ll meet with Zone 2 neighbors to discuss what’s happening the area, Wednesday evening from 6-7:30 at Alice Pittman Elementary. The school is located at 2934 E. Bennett.
Zone 2's boundaries are the Springfield city limits to the north, Sunshine Street to the south, National Avenue to the west and the city limits to the east.
Prater is set to serve on council until the certification of the April 4, 2017 election. The winner of that election will serve the remainder of the unexpired Zone 2 term through April 2019.
