Take a break from the heat and help end hunger at Springfield-Greene County Park Board swimming pools this summer. From May 26 to September 1, between 5:30 and 6:30 pm daily, admission to all outdoor pools is $1 or free when you bring one canned food item per person.

Juneteenth, June 19:Splash and Sizzle at Fassnight and Silver Springs, pools 1-6:30 p.m.
Independence Day, July 4:Splash & Sizzle at Fassnight and Silver Springs pools, 12-5:30 p.m.
Park Day Reunion, August 2:Splash and Sizzle at Silver Springs pool, 1-6:30 p.m.
National Night Out, August 5:Splash and Sizzle at Meador, 5-7 p.m.
Starting August 11, only Fassnight will be open. Fassnight will only be open on weekends.

Adults are invited to attend Meet the Computer from 10 a.m.-noon on Tuesday, June 3, in the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library Computer Training Center, 397 E. Central St.
Learn the basics of computers including using a mouse and a keyboard. Understand the difference between left clicking and right clicking. Learn to open programs and files. Use the mouse to double–click, scroll and click and drag. This class is for beginners.

Families Anonymous is a group of new friends who won't be shocked by the nature of your problems and will stand by you as you learn how to gain sanity and serenity in your life , and people just like you, helping other people just like you.

The Sierra Club will host local author and well-known environmentalist Loring Bullard as he speaks about how he became an environmentalist; his new book, An Environmental Journey; and how his life and work intersected with major environmental events in Missouri history.

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board and the Downtown Springfield CID will host the Wednesday Concerts @ Noon series, Wednesdays at noon throughout the month of June at Founders Park.
