Take a break from the heat and help end hunger at Springfield-Greene County Park Board swimming pools this summer. From May 26 to September 1, between 5:30 and 6:30 pm daily, admission to all outdoor pools is $1 or free when you bring one canned food item per person.

The Springfield Vegan Chef Challenge will be held during the month of May with a celebration of new vegan dishes across town. Businesses across the area will showcase special vegan menu items, giving everyone the opportunity to explore creative plant-based dishes crafted by talented local chefs.

enGAGE Mobility will host MexiVAN 2025 May 31 at 4 By 4 Brewing Company in Fremont Hills with a taco and nacho bar, drinks and desserts, raffles, family fun and more.
The event will raise funds to support the Hornbeck family of Springfield, Missouri. They are in need of an accessible van to fit two wheelchairs as they finalize the adoption process for their second daughter.
Tickets are available in advance or at the door.
The Springfield Conservation Nature Center will host a Mother's Day Tea May 31 with drinks and dishes made with wild edible plants. Naturalist Jordi Raos will give a presentation followed by a short garden walk and a craft. (Mother not required to attend.)
All ages. Seating is limited and registration is required.
Plotline will host its 10th annual Student Film Festival May 31 at the Historic Fox Theatre.
A celebration of Plotline’s students ages 10–17, the event will feature a red-carpet entrance followed by a screening of films produced by Plotline students and suitable for all ages. Each student will receive a certificate and two awards, sponsored by Missouri State University’s School of Communication and the History Museum on the Square, will be presented. Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase. Tickets are available online at plotlinefilm.org or at the event.
Live From Downtown is a weekly summer concert series on Park Central Square that showcases local musicians and bands from all genres. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
Shows start at 7 pm every Saturday from the beginning of May through the end of September.
