Springfield-Greene County Library District

Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft has announced more than $94,000 worth of grants that will benefit 11 area libraries.

The Springfield-Greene County Library District will receive a $20,000 Summer Library Program grant that will help low income families and those with greatest need in the community. Using the Build a Better World theme, a variety of programs will offer reading and enrichment activities at 125 locations throughout Greene County. According to a news release from Ashcroft’s office, transportation barriers are reduced as programs are brought onsite to partner locations.
