Jordan Creek Daylighting

This fall, the city hopes to get to work on daylighting Jordan Creek in downtown Springfield. Earlier this summer, the Bernice S. Warren Center for Archaeological Research did a survey of the site ahead of construction.

The money will be used as part of the Renew Jordan Creek Project.

Plans for the so-called daylighting of Jordan Creek have been in the works since at least 2019. After some delays during the pandemic, City Council has resumed work on the project.
