molly. will be on Studio Live Friday, March 14, 2025 at noon. Then catch her performance at Mother's Brewing Company for Studio Live Social Hour from 6-8 pm that night.

molly. will release her new album, MIDBEST, on April 5, five years after her debut EP, bloom. wilt. sleep. repeat. She stopped by the station to talk about the life changes that inspired the songs on MIDBEST and what it means to her.

Jessica Balisle

Jessica Gray Balisle, a Springfield native, grew up listening to KSMU. When she's not wrangling operations and compliance issues, she co-hosts live music show Studio Live and produces arts and culture stories. Jessica plays bass in local band the Hook Knives. She and her husband Todd live with their two cats, Ellie and Jean-Ralphio, and way too many house plants.
