Learn about some of the artworks featured in “The World Atlas of Public Art.”

Our weekly program, Missouri State Journal, is a collaboration between KSMU Radio and Missouri State University. It's hosted and produced by MSU's Office of Strategic Communication, and it airs each Tuesday morning at 9:45 on KSMU.

The World Atlas of Public Art” is a book The New York Times Book Review reportedly included in its list of “10 Giftworthy Visual Books.”

Missouri State University’s Dr. Andrew Wasserman authored the book, which offers “an around-the-world glimpse into how artists reimagine the places, spaces, landscapes, streets and skies we share,” according to Nina MacLaughlin from the Boston Globe.

Last week on the Missouri State Journal, Wasserman, assistant professor in the department of art and design, talked about how the book came to be and the significance of public art.

He’s back again today to share some of the public artworks from around the globe that are featured in the book.
