National Weather Service Confirms Another Tornado Touchdown Early Saturday

A seventh tornado has been confirmed by the National Weather Service during severe weather that moved through southwest Missouri early on the morning of Saturday, December 2.

The EF-0 twister touched down near Clever at 12:40 Saturday morning and was on the ground for two miles with estimated peak winds of 80 miles per hour.

One outbuilding was completely destroyed, and numerous trees were damaged.

NWS confirmed four EF-1 tornadoes and three EF-0 twisters early Saturday.  A tornado that touched down two miles south of Aurora with estimated peak winds of 100 miles per hour damaged the Aurora Motel and killed a man who was staying there.
