Record high minimum temperatures were set yesterday in Springfield, Joplin, Rolla and West Plains.

Yesterday’s low of 67 in Springfield broke the previous record of 66 degrees set in 1897.

Joplin had a low of 68 degrees Sunday breaking the previous record minimum of 65 degrees set in 1980.

In Rolla, yesterday’s low of 67 broke the previous record of 65 in 1968.

And West Plains saw a record high minimum temperature of 64 degrees, which broke the record of 61 degrees set in 1981.

We could have record highs today in southwest Missouri with temperatures expected to be around 90 in Springfield.  The record high today is 89 degrees, set in 1964.
