Severe Weather Impacts the Ozarks

National Weather Service

Severe weather impacted the Ozarks overnight.  Large hail was mostly reported in Northern Arkansas, but there were reports of two tornadoes, as well. According to the NWS, hen egg size hail pelted Lowell with golf ball-sized hail at Springdale. There was tennis ball size hail at Rogers with half dollar to golf ball size hail at Elizabeth, Harrison and Siloam Springs.

Between Diamond City in Boone County and Peel in Marion County, the NWS says a waterspout was sighted and confirmed by Marion County Emergency Management on Bull Shoals Lake. The waterspout caused no damage.

It appears a tornado (likely weak) tracked between Clifty in Madison County and Berryville in Carroll County, according to the weather service.
