The City of West Plains is under a city-wide Boil Water Order due to a loss of disinfection of more than four hours.

Any water used for washing dishes, washing fruits and vegetables, making ice cubes or brushing teeth should be boiled for at least five minutes.

According to the city, there must be two consecutive days of safe water samples before the order will be lifted. Citizens will be notified on the City of West Plains’ Facebook page and through local media once the order is lifted.
