Springfield-Greene County, Joplin Health Departments Report 5 More COVID-19 Deaths

Three more Greene County, Missouri residents have died of COVID-19.

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department reported the deaths on Monday.  They were a man in his 50s with no underlying health conditions; a woman in her 40s and a man in his 70s.

There have been 47 deaths from COVID-19 reported by the health department in October and a total of 124 since the pandemic began.

Monday morning the health department reported 8,963 cases, and 3,155 of those were active.  There were 181 people hospitalized in Springfield with the illness, and 28 were in the ICU.

The Joplin Health Department Monday announced the deaths of two of the city’s residents due to COVID-19.  They were a 63-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman.  There have been 33 deaths from COVID-19 in Joplin.
