Service disconnections for nonpayment will start back up on July 7, according to City Utilities.

But CU officials say customers who have experienced financial difficulty recently can contact customer service to discuss payment arrangement plans.  The number is (417) 863-9000.  Payments can be made at cityutilities.net.  No payments will be accepted by phone, according to CU, "due to increased fraudulent calls to customers."

In March, CU halted service disconnection for non-payment because of the COVID-19 pandemic.  The company has begun notifying customers with delinquent accounts about possible service disconnections.

City Utilities plans to reopen its lobby at 301 E. Central on July 7.  A limited number of customers will be allowed in at one time, and customers will have to enter from the east doors.
