The McQueary College of Health and Human Services at Missouri State University will host a science workshop for young girls called “Expanding Your Horizons.”

They’re doing this in an effort to increase the number of women in fields like science and engineering. According to the university, early exposure – in this case, girls in grades 6-8 – can empower young women to follow their academic and professional passions early.

The workshop will be on Nov. 3 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the O’Reilly Clinical Health Sciences Center. Registration will close on Friday, Oct. 26. The cost of attendance is $10 per student.
