A project to lengthen nine interchange ramps on I-44 between Glenstone and West Bypass begins today.  And the Missouri Department of Transportation says drivers can expect nighttime lane closings and possible ramp closings.

The traffic impacts will take place at night between 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.  According to MODOT, all lanes and interchange ramps are scheduled to be open during daytime hours.

The project had a delayed start until the Route 65: THE REBUILD project was largely completed.

MODOT anticipates completion of the lengthening of four of the interchange ramps in 2017. Construction will stop during the winter months and will resume in spring 2018 with completion by late July 2018.

The estimated total project cost of the project is $2.2 million.
