The Greene County Sheriff's Department will make an extra effort this weekend to get drunk drivers off the road. They'll hold a checkpoint somewhere in Northern Greene County from 11 tomorrow night until 3 o'clock Sunday morning.

Chief Deputy Jim Arnott says there's a reason they chose that location

Around 40 deputies will be part of the effort. Arnott explains what a motorist approaching the checkpoint will experience

According to Jim Arnott, the Greene County Sheriff's Department will hold at least 4 checkpoints this year to try to catch drunk drivers. He says there are two things they hope to accomplish

According to Arnott, past checkpoints have been effective. He says they usually catch 6 to 10 drunk drivers each time.
