Public Input Sought for OTC Strategic Plan

Ozarks Technical Community College is working to develop and revise its strategic plan to reflect education and training needs of southwest Missouri, and it wants to know what the public thinks.  OTC will host a series of public listening sessions this month and next where community members are invited to provide feedback on key issues and new opportunities for growth, according to a news release.

"As the community’s college, we want to know how we can further serve our students and continue to meet the region’s workforce needs,” said OTC Chancellor Hal Higdon.

OTC Springfield-area listening sessions

Tuesday, July 25, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library, community room

Tuesday, July 25, 5:30-7 p.m., OTC Springfield Campus, Lincoln Hall 211

Tuesday, August 8, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Republic Branch Library, community room

Wednesday, Aug. 9, 5:30-7 p.m., The Library Center Auditorium

OTC Richwood Valley-area listening sessions

Thursday, Aug. 3, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nixa Chamber of Commerce

Thursday, Aug. 10, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Ozark Community Center

Michele Skalicky has worked at KSMU since the station occupied the old white house at National and Grand. She enjoys working on both the announcing side and in news and has been the recipient of statewide and national awards for news reporting. She likes to tell stories that make a difference. Michele enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking, camping and leisurely kayaking.
