Meteorologists Expect a Chance of Winter Weather This Weekend

A storm system that was expected to reach the Ozarks on Thursday and Friday may not arrive until Saturday or Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Doug Cramer says that the system has slowed down. At this point it is expected to touch down around the Missouri-Arkansas border—and it’s still up in the air whether the region will see much precipitation.

“There’s going to be a sharp gradient as to where the snowfall is and where it is not going to be. At this time, we are not advertising amounts or chances,” Cramer said.

The National Weather Service encourages residents to keep an eye out for changes in the forecast over the next couple of days.
