The City of Branson has a new police chief. After a national search, a panel chose Stanley Dobbins for the position. Dobbins has been serving as the interim chief of police since former chief Kent Crutcher retired in May. He was one of four final candidates selected by a panel of police chiefs from across the state.
According to the City of Branson, Dobbins has 36 years of experience in law enforcement and has served as Branson Assistant Chief of Police for four years. A news release states that, of the numerous serious/violent crimes in Dobbins’ history, including homicides and aggravated assaults, none remains unsolved.
