The Greene County Highway Department will close a road north of Springfield next month for construction.  Farm Road 141 will be closed for about five months while crews replace two bridges near the intersection of Farm Road 86.

A public meeting is planned for Thursday (7/23) from 4 to 6 at Glidewell Baptist Church, 5801 N. Farm Rd. 141 in Springfield, to discuss the upcoming closure.

According to the Highway Department, the new bridges will include wider driving lanes and one-foot shoulders.

During construction, Farm Rd. 141 will be closed to traffic, and the David C. Murray Park, with access to the South Dry Sac Greenway, will be closed.

The projected completion date for the project is the first week of January, 2016.
