Some things to watch out for this week on area roadways:
Walnut Street is scheduled to close at Kansas Expressway at 8 p.m. Friday (6/5) through 2 p.m. Sunday (6/7).
And one northbound and one southbound lane will be closed around the clock between Chestnut Expressway and Water Street.
It’s part of the Route 13 (Kansas Expressway) Pavement Rebuild Project.
MODOT says traffic congestion can be expected.
Work continues on the Route 65/Battlefield diverging diamond interchange. The southbound onramp from Battlefield to 65 will be closed from 7 pm to 6 am. It will open up during daytime hours.
And work continues on Highway 60 at Rogersville.
Two lanes are open in each direction on Route 60 at Routes B/VV. Lanes are narrowed.
Traffic congestion is possible at times according to MODOT, especially during morning and afternoon rush hours
