Turkey Trot did more than provide a way for people to get active before they enjoyed their Thanksgiving meal, it also helped out those who are hungry in the Ozarks.  Ozarks Food Harvest says their annual drive during Turkey Trot netted 7,245 pounds of food-that's the equivalent of 6,037 meals.

Since 2001, Turkey Trot has collected nearly 70,000 pounds of food for OFH.  This year's donations equaled nearly one pound per participant.

The annual event also raises funds for the Developmental Center of the Ozarks and for the Springfield-Greene County Park Board’s scholarship fund.
