Ozarks Technical Community College in Table Rock has a new president. The Springfield-based school on Monday announced that Vice Chancellor Cliff Davis will assume the role.
Davis will take over for Dr. Jeff Jochems, who has served as interim president since the campus opened in 2013.
Davis has served as vice chancellor for advancement, student affairs, strategic planning, and as executive director of the OTC Foundation for the past 10 years. He served on the OTC Board of Trustees from 1994-2004.
“I’m excited about my new role as president of the OTC Table Rock Campus,” Davis said in a news release. “The college and the community have tremendous potential for growth – I look forward to expanding OTC’s reach and serving more students in the coming years.”
Prior to joining OTC, Davis served as the assistant to the vice president for student affairs and the assistant to the president/director of governmental relations at Missouri State University. He was also formerly the vice president of community development and director of Leadership Springfield for the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
“Mr. Davis has an excellent record of service to OTC,” said Dr. Hal Higdon, chancellor of Ozarks Technical Community College. “His experience in advancement, student affairs and governmental relations will be invaluable as the OTC Table Rock Campus continues to grow and pursue new programs of study.”
Davis holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in communications from Missouri State University. He is pursuing a doctorate in instructional leadership with an emphasis in higher education administration from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo.
Davis serves as chair of the Presidents/Chancellors Council for the Missouri Community College Association (MCCA).
