SoundCheck: With a new single out, KRANG looks at how far they've come

KRANG will be on Studio Live Friday, January 10, 2025 at noon. Then catch the band at Mother's Brewing Company for Studio Live Social Hour that night from 6-8 pm.

Their new single, "Not Today," drops this week and the band, made up of Chance Requa on guitar, Corbin Harris on bass, and Matthew Gray on drums, stopped by the station to talk about how their sound has evolved over the years.

Jessica Gray Balisle, a Springfield native, grew up listening to KSMU. When she's not wrangling operations and compliance issues, she co-hosts live music show Studio Live and produces arts and culture stories. Jessica plays bass in local band the Hook Knives. She and her husband Todd live with their two cats, Ellie and Jean-Ralphio, and way too many house plants.
