Studio Live is Friday (6/14) at noon on KSMU, featuring the band, Dream Ritual.  The rock band will perform live during Studio Live Social Hour Friday night at 7 at the Backlot at Alamo Drafthouse, 4005 South Avenue in Springfield.  Learn more here

“Family Fridays: Reptiles in the Garden” will start Friday night (6/14) at 7:30 at the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center at Nathaniel Greene-Close Memorial Park, 2400 S. Scenic in Springfield.  Registration is required by calling (417) 891-1515, ext. 2 or 4. 

The series, Movies at Founders Park,continues this weekend in downtown Springfield.  “Spider-Man:  Into the Spider Verse” will be shown Friday night (6/14) at dusk and “Green Book” will be shown Saturday night (6/15).  Take blankets and lawn chairs. 

The Springfield-Greene County Library and the Springfield Conservation Nature Center are teaming up Friday morning (6/14) for “Discover Nature: Astronauts of Conservation.”  Drop by the nature center anytime between 9 a.m. and noon. 

Wild Bob’s Musical Book Club will be at Lindberg’s Tavern, 318 E. Commercial in Springfield, Friday night (6/14) at 6:30.  The featured book this month is “Maurice” by E.M. Forster.  Local musicians will  perform songs they've written based on that book.  There’s a $5 cover at the door. 

The 2019 Boy Scout Garage Sale to benefit Troop 210 will be held Friday (6/14) from 3 to 8 p.m., Saturday (6/15) from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday (6/16) from 8 to 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 3555 S. Fremont in Springfield. 

Schweitzer United Methodist Church, 2747 E. Sunshine, will hold a garage sale Friday (6/14) from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday (6/15) from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the gym. 

Cirque Italia presents Paranormal Cirque Friday night (6/14) at 7:30, Saturday night (6/15) at 6:30 and 9:30 and Sunday night (6/16) at 5:30 and 9:30 in the Battlefield Mall parking lot. 

Family Fishing Night starts at 6 p.m. Friday (6/14) at Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park, 3825 W. Farm Rd. 146 in Springfield.  Take your own equipment for catch-and-release fishing.  A limited amount is available to reserve ahead of time.  There will also be a cow train, a bounce house and a bonfire.  You may take your own drinks as well as food to cook over the bonfire. 

The program,“The River’s Edge,” will start at 3 p.m. Friday (6/14) starting at the Buffalo Point D Loop Bathhouse at the Buffalo National River.  Learn about the critters that call the Buffalo River home. 

The program, “Surviving the Next 100: Will Parks See Another Centennial?” will be held Friday night (6/14) at 8:30 at the Buffalo Point Amphitheater. A Buffalo National River park ranger will discuss events leading to the creation of NPS, Buffalo National River’s connection to the first national park and issues that threaten park survival. 

The Alt at the Aud concert series will feature White Mansion and Barbarians of Tomorrow Friday night (6/14) at 8 at The Auditorium, 36 S. Main in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. 

The Springfield Cardinalswill host the Midland Hooks Friday night (6/14) at 7:10, Saturday night (6/15) at 6:10 and Sunday (6/16) at 2:10 at Hammons Field. 

The Springfield Dream Center will host a Family Fun Night Friday night (6/14) at 5:30 at 829 W. Atlantic.  The event will include a light dinner, games and crafts. 

An informational meeting will be held Friday night (6/14) at 6 at Stockton State Park.  These meetings give park staff the chance to learn the current status and future plans for the sites and give the public the chance to comment on the facilities. 

Springfield Little Theatre presents “Footloose, the Musical” through June 23 at the Landers Theatre, 311 E. Walnut. 

Springfield Contemporary Theatre, 302 E. Pershing, presents “The Mystery of Edwin Drood,” a murder mystery musical comedy, through June 29. 

The Lebanon Route 66 Festival Block Party is Friday from 4 to 10 p.m. at Wrinks Market, 135 Wrinkle Ave., and neighboring businesses on Route 66 in Lebanon.  The Route 66 Festival is Saturday (6/15) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Boswell Park in Lebanon.  The Route 66 Parade starts Saturday morning at 10.    

The sixth annual Catfish, Corn Dogs and Cornhole is Friday (6/14) from noon to 5 at Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas, 2710 Rife Medical Ln. in Rogers, Arkansas. 

The Little Acorns program, “Crawdad Craze,” for kids three to six-years-old, will be held Saturday morning (6/15) at 11:15 at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center.  Registration is required. 

Bennett Spring State Park in Lebanon will host a Ranger Ride Saturday afternoon (6/15) at 1.  Join a law enforcement ranger to learn the ABCs of bike riding. 

The Route 66 Char-Bar Carnivor Festivalwill be held Saturday (6/15) from 3 to 11 p.m. on the Marshfield  Square. 

Moxie Mornings starts Saturday morning (6/15) at 10 at the Moxie Cinema, 305 S. Campbell in Springfield.  The free event, for kids two to six-years-old, features an innovative short film and hands-on art. 

The Galloway Village Neighborhood Association will host People, Pollinators and Plants Appreciation Day Saturday (6/15) from noon to 8 at the Sequiota Park pavilion.  The event will feature displays, a plant swap, kids’ crafts, ice cream and more. 

The Moxie Cinema, 305 S. Campbell in Springfield, will show the film,“All About Eve,”as part of the On Stage Series, Saturday (6/15) at noon.  It was filmed live April 11 at the West End in London. 

TheBasin Park Music Series continues Saturday night (6/15) at 5 in Eureka Springs’ Basin Spring Park with Opal Agafia.  Her genre is Ozark Mountain soul and roots music.     

Storytime Saturdays are held Saturday mornings at 10 through October 26 at Bennett Spring State Park near Lebanon. 

The exhibit, “Remembering D-Day: The 75th Anniversary of the Normandy Invasion,” is at the Joplin History and Mineral Museum, 504 S. Schifferdecker Ave. in Joplin through August 31. 

The Springfield Police Department and Greene County Sheriff's Office will face off in the 14th annual Battle of the Badges Saturday night (6/15) at Carver Middle School.  Doors open at 5:30, and the basketball game starts at 6:30.  Proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks.  Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.

The “Ride With a Ranger Bicycle Ride” will be held Saturday afternoon (6/15) at 1 at Roaring River State Park in Cassville.  Learn the ABCs of bicycle riding. 

The third annual Summer Solstice Art Fair is Saturday (6/15) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Lafayette Park, 202 E. Atlantic in Springfield.  The juried art show features art, music and food. 

Movies Under the Stars, presented by the Barry and Lawrence County Regional Library, will be held two nights this summer at Roaring River State Park in Cassville.  “Over the Hedge” will be shown Saturday night (6/15) at 7:30 by the park store.  Take a lawn chair. 

National Park Radio will give a concert Saturday night (6/15) at 6 at Steel Creek on the Buffalo National River.  Take blankets and lawn chairs. 

Memphis-based artist, muralist and educator, Amy-Beth Rice, will discuss her personal work, which centers on themes of identity, truth, and perceiving yourself and your reality accurately, Saturday (6/15).  “Learning to See: The Art of Amy-Beth Rice”will start at 5 p.m. at the Library Center. 

Springfield-Greene County Park Board poolsare open for the season and will remain open through mid August.  Splash ‘n Sizzle discounts ($1 or free with a canned food item) are offered daily after 5:30 p.m.

Skinny Improv, 308 South in downtown Springfield, presents several shows this weekend:  Comedy Improv Friday night (6/14) at 7:30 and Pappy Van Winkle Friday night at 9; and The Home Team Saturday night (6/15) at 7:30 and a ladies night comedy show, IM PRO V, Saturday night (6/15) at 9.  Admission is $5. 

Families are invited to“Constellation Construction”Saturday (6/15) at 5 p.m. at the Buffalo Point Amphitheater at the Buffalo National River.  Learn about the stars and planets in our solar system and how ancient people viewed them. 

Dads and grandfathers get in free at the Discovery Center of Springfield Sunday (6/16) from 1 to 5 p.m. 

The program, “Colors of Water,”will be held Sunday morning (6/16) at 9 at the Buffalo Point Launch parking lot at the Buffalo National River.  Paint with water color with the Buffalo as a backdrop.  Materials will be provided. 

The Alliance of Therapy Pets will host Paws in the Park Sunday (6/16) at Phelps Grove Park.  The event will include training demos, a silent auction, a $5 BBQ lunch, games and more. 

George Washington Carver National Monument in Diamond will host a Juneteenth Celebration Sunday (6/16) at 1.  Learn about one of the United States' most historic celebrations.
