KMSU is off the air in Mt. Grove (88.7FM) due to signal interference. We are working to restore coverage at the site. In the meantime, some Mt. Grove area listeners will be able to listen over the air to KSMU at 91.1 or KSMW at 90.3FM. Or stream KSMU anywhere from any device.

Weekend Outlook: Find Out What's Happening In The Ozarks May 28-31

The Flyin Buzzards bluegrass band will perform Friday night and Saturday night (5/28-5/29) at 7 at the River Shelter at Roaring River State Park.  Bluegrass concerts continue through September 25.  

The online Missouri Conservation Department program, Conservation Families: Snakes of Missouri, will start Friday night (5/28) at 6.  Registration is required.  

The Moxie Cinema will show the 1980 film, “9 to 5,” Friday night (5/28) at 9 at Mother’s Brewing Company, 215 S. Grant.  Admission is $6 at the gate, with proceeds benefiting Moxie Cinema.  

A Class Act Production presents “Grave Tales” Friday night (5/28) at 7:30 and 9:30 at Nathan P. Murphy’s, 215 S. Campbell.  

The 2021 Mid-America Street Rod Nationals are at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds Friday through Sunday (5/28-5/30).  Admission is $19 for ages 13 and up, $6 for ages six to 12 and free for five and younger.  

Shoal Creek Conservation Education Center is hosting a native plant sale.  Plants must be ordered ahead of time and then picked up Saturday, March 29.    

The Springfield-Greene County Library invites you to an online program presented by the Missouri Humanities Council and the Sons of the American Revolution.  “History Explorers Presents:  The Spanish-American War” will start Saturday morning (5/29) at 10.  You can watch it on the library’s YouTube channel, YouTube.com/SpringfieldGreene or go to thelibrary.org/programs to find a link to the event.

The program, “Outdoor Skills: Basic Archery,” will be held Saturday afternoon (5/29) at 2 at the Shoal Creek Conservation Education Center in Joplin.  Registration is required.  

The Missouri Prairie Foundation will hold a native plant sale Saturday (5/29) from 2 to 6 at Mother’s Brewing Company, 215 S. Grant.  You’ll be able to purchase native wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, trees, sedges, vines and native seed.  

The Finley River Fishing for a Cause Charity Eventwill be held at Finley River Park Saturday through Monday (5/29-5/31) at Finley River Park in Ozark.  The entry fee is $30. 

The Connecting Grounds, 4341 W. Chestnut Expressway, is hosting the Summer Outdoor Movie Series.  See “Akeelah and the Bee” Saturday night (5/29) at 7:30.  Take blankets or chairs.  

The Summer Concert Seriesat Branson Landing will feature Papa Green Shoes Saturday night (5/29) at 6:30.  

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board’s outdoor poolsopen Saturday (5/29).  A Splash and Sizzle event will be held Monday (5/31) at 5:30.  Admission is $1 or free with a canned food donation at Fassnight, Grant Beach and Silver Springs Pools.  

The Old Country Dance will start Saturday night (5/29) at 7 at the Bolivar Recreation and Aquatic Center, 1710 W. Broadway.  

YMCA’s Camp Wakonda, 22237 Lawrence 2080 in Ash Grove, will host Kids Fishing Day Saturday morning (5/29) from 9 to noon.  Prizes are available for those who have the biggest catches. Registration is required.  

The History Museum on the Square will host a Downtown Walking TourSunday at 2 (5/30).  Hear some of Springfield’s most notable stories and see where they took place.  Space is limited, and the cost is $15.  Registration must be made 24 hours in advance.
