Springfield-Greene County Health Department Announces Another Death From COVID-19

A woman in her 80s is the latest Greene County resident to die of COVID-19.  According to the Springfield-Greene County Health Department, the latest death brings the total number of people who have died to 173, and nineteen of those have been in November.

There are a reported 11,588 cases of COVID-19 in Greene County, an increase of 196 from Monday.  According to the health department, 4,027 of the reported cases in the county are active.  There are 189 people hospitalized in Springfield with COVID-19, and 43 are in the ICU.  Sixty-four are from Greene County.

And there’s been a 29 percent change in reported cases in the past seven days.
