Springfield-Greene County Health Department Announces 59th COVID-19 Death, 29th This Month

Springfield-Greene County Health Department

Two more people have died in Greene County of COVID-19.  That brings the total number of deaths from the illness in Greene County in September to 29.  A total of 59 has died of COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

The latest deaths were a man in his 60s and a man in his 80s.  They were not associated with long-term care facilities.

The number of cases topped 6000 in Greene County  on Wednesday.  As of 10 a.m., there was a total of 6,087 cases, and 2,271 of them were active.  There were 129 in the hospital with COVID-19 in Springfield, and 26 were in the ICU.
