The Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center reopens Friday, May 22 after closing for several weeks due to the coronavirus.
The center’s atrium, front desk, gift shop and restrooms will be open Monday through Friday from 8 to 5 and Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 6. No rentals, meetings or classes will be offered for now.
The park’s Sensory Garden Fountain will reopen Saturday, May 22; the Gray/Campbell Farmstead will open to the public on weekends starting May 30; and the Roston Native Butterfly House will open to the public on June 1 with daily hours from 10 to 6 depending on volunteer availability.
The annual event, Young Sprouts in the Garden, which had been scheduled for June 20, will transition into a virtual event in July, according to the Springfield-Greene County Park Board.
