Greene County Public Health Officials Announce 36th COVID-19 Death

Another resident of a long-term care facility in Greene County has died of COVID-19, according to the Springfield-Greene County Health Department.  The latest death was a woman in her 90s.  So far this month, six COVID-19 deaths have been reported in the county—five associated with nursing homes. 

In August, there were 19 COVID-19 deaths in Greene County, many associated with long-term care facilities.

Greene County has recorded 3,670 COVID-19 cases to date—1,731 of those are active.

There are currently 83 people hospitalized with the illness, and 16 of them are in the ICU.
