Death Count From COVID-19 In Greene County Rises To 176

Three more Greene County residents have died of COVID-19.  They were a man in his 50s and two men in their 80s.  So far this month, 22 county residents have died of the illness, and there’s been a total of 176 since the pandemic began.

As of Thursday morning, there was a total of 11,975 reported COVID-19 cases in Greene County, and 4,325 of them were active.  There were 180 COVID patients in Springfield hospitals, and 43 were in the ICU.  Sixty-four were from Greene County.

There had been a 26 percent increase in reported cases in the past seven days.
