COVID-19 Hospitalizations Are Slightly Up In Greene County

CDC

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is reminding residents that the COVID-19 pandemic is not over.

The county has seen a slight increase in hospitalizations, according to a news release.  Public health officials say the Springfield won’t move into the green phase on the road to recovery, which would lift all restrictions, unless the number of COVID-19 patients in local hospitals trends downward and the vaccination rate climbs to 50 percent.  As of Friday, the county’s vaccination rate was nearly 30 percent. There were 34 COVID-19 patients in Springfield hospitals, and the county was seeing 18.43 daily cases on a seven-day rolling average.

A move into the green phase requires fewer than 20 COVID-19 patients in Greene County hospitals for at least 20 days.

You can complete the registration process for a COVID-19 vaccine at covidvaccine.mo.gov/navigator.
