COVID-19 Claims The Lives Of 9 More Greene County Residents

Nine more Greene County residents have lost their lives to COVID-19.  The latest deaths, announced Wednesday, are a woman in her 50s, a man in his 60s, two women in their 70s, three men in their 70s and two men in their 80s.

Just this month, 34 Greene County residents have died of COVID-19, and there's been a total of 188 deaths since the pandemic began.

The county topped the 13,000 mark in the total number of cases.  As of Wednesday morning, there were 13,094 cases, and 5,074 were active.  There were 205 people in Springfield hospitals with COVID-19, and 41 of them were in the ICU.  Ninety-two were Greene County residents.

There had been a 12 percent change in reported cases in the last seven days.
