The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund has announced its endorsement of Chris Koster’s campaign for Missouri governor. Koster will face Republican Eric Greitens in the gubernatorial race in November.
The NRA-PVF cited Democratic Attorney General Koster’s “longstanding support of Second Amendment rights and the hunting heritage of Missourians” as the key reasons for the endorsement.
In a letter to Koster, Chris Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF, pointed to several things Koster has done, including his support of Senate Bill 656, which, among other things, would have allowed anyone not currently prohibited from possessing a firearm the ability to conceal carry without a permit. Governor Jay Nixon vetoed the legislation.
