Ferguson Expected to Come up in Jefferson City Meeting Today

nydailynews.com

The joint committee on government accountability meets for the first time today, where one senator said she will bring up issues relating to Ferguson.  Meghan Boggass has more from Jefferson City.

Democratic Senator Jamilah Nasheed of St. Louis said the joint committee on government accountability will discuss events surrounding the grand jury decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson during its first meeting today (12/11).

"I mean how does the government allow for businesses to go down in flames? And I think that you know, the buck, the buck is gonna stop with the governor," she said.

Nasheed said there was a clear breakdown in communications during unrest in Ferguson, and many people want answers.
