Importance of this Election:
This election is important to the League because much of the work Leagues throughout the country focus on is ensuring all eligible voters have the opportunity and the information they need to exercise their right to vote. Since the county clerk’s office oversees the voting process for Greene County, that’s an important office for us. We’ve had a great relationship with Richard Struckhoff over the last 27 years and we hope, no matter who wins the election, that relationship continues.
LWV & CCE Mission:
The CCE's mission is to support and advance Missouri State University's public affairs mission by increasing the University's involvement in local, regional and statewide efforts at community engagement (one of the three pillars of the public affairs mission).
The League of Women Voters and Center for Community Engagement are nonpartisan organizations.
The LWV encourages informed and active participation of citizens in government.
We work to inform our citizens about candidates through education and there is no better way to compare and contrast candidates and understand their views and beliefs on issues than through public forums.
Our goal is to engage and empower our citizens to make our community better.
