Wonders of Wildlife in Springfield, MO has been named the number one aquarium in the U.S. in a USA Today 10Best poll. Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg, TN came in second.
Springfield Mayor Ken McClure and Springfield City Council issued a statement following the announcement to congratulate the aquarium’s owner, Johnny Morris, and employees of the museum for regaining the title, which it previously held.
McClure said, “Wonders of Wildlife is very important to our community. It is one of our amenities that improves our quality of place and is a symbol of Springfield’s economic vitality.”
