6 More Greene County Residents Die Of COVID-19

Seventy-seven Greene County residents have died of COVID-19 this month. The Springfield-Greene County Health Department announced six more deaths Friday. The latest were a woman in her 50s, a man in his 60s, a man in his 70s, a woman in her 70s, a man in his 80s and a man in his 90s. There's been a total of 154 deaths in Greene County since the pandemic began. As of Friday morning, Greene County had recorded 9,970 cases of COVID-19. and 3,358 of those cases were active. There were 170 people in Springfield hospitals with the illness, and 31 if them were in the ICU. Fifty-nine were from Greene County. There had been a 15 percent increase in COVID-19 cases in the last seven days.
