Starting Monday, July 6, unemployed workers who want to continue receiving unemployment benefits will have to perform work search activities. That requirement had been waived for anyone that had filed a coronavirus-related unemployment claim.
A work search activity is an attempt to obtain employment or to resume work, according to the Missouri Department of Labor. Three work search activities are required to be completed each week for which a person requests payment unless they’re in approved training, have a confirmed recall date from an employer or are part of a Shared Work Program.
