Volunteers Needed for One-Day Event Benefiting Non-Profits

Briana Simmons

Volunteers are needed for United Way Day of Caring projects next month.  The event is set for August 18th.  It’s a day when thousands of volunteers from hundreds of local businesses complete a variety of projects for local non-profit agencies.

According to the United Way, this volunteer effort allows the participating agencies to keep funds in their programs and provides volunteers a chance to connect with “the critical work being done.”

Teams can range from two members to 40 or more.  Projects include things like basic carpentry, painting, landscaping or organizing and collecting items like infant sleepers or comfort kit supplies.

More than 50 projects are still in need of volunteers in Springfield, Branson, Marshfield, Bolivar and Rogersville.

You need to sign up by Wednesday (7/13).  Click here for a list of available projects.
