Nixa Parks Bus Involved in Accident

City of Nixa

A Nixa Parks bus carrying 47 children, four Nixa Parks staff members as well as the driver was involved in an accident around 9 this morning.  The bus was rear-ended by a passenger vehicle at US 160 and AA. One child was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

According to the city of Nixa, the children were on an outing to see a movie in Springfield as part of Nixa Park’s Summer It Up program. Ages of the children on the bus ranged from five- to 12-years-old.

The driver of the car was not injured.
