New Addition to CMH Houses Specialty Clinics

Bolivar Herald-Free Press

Citizens Memorial Hospital is celebrating a new facility at the health care system in Bolivar.  CMH hosted an open house and ribbon cutting for the completed Kerry and Synda Douglas Medical Center on Sunday.

The new addition to the Douglas Medical Center added 80,000 square feet to the existing 40,000 square feet, which was completed in 2008. The new addition cost more than $18 million and was funded by a loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The center is home to the Ambulatory Surgical Center and many of CMH’s specialty clinics and services, including the Breast Care Center, Imaging Center, Wound and Hyperbaric Center, Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine Clinic, Surgical Services Clinic, Dermatology Clinic, Eye Specialty Center and Optical Shop, Rheumatology and Osteoporosis Center,  Infusion Clinic, Laboratory Services and the Information Services Department.
