SPS School Board Candidate Info/Petitions Available Soon

If you’re interested in running for the Springfield Board of Education, you’ll be able to pick up nomination information and petitions starting Monday (11/14) at the Kraft Administrative Center. 

Two members will be elected to the board on April 4, 2017 to serve three-year terms.

Candidates must be voters of the district who have lived in Missouri for one year preceding the election, and they must be at least 24-years-old.

Completed petitions will be turned in beginning December 13.

You can find out more about running for the SPS Board of Education at a Board Candidate Orientation Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Kraft Administrative Center, 1359 E. St. Louis St.  

Michele Skalicky has worked at KSMU since the station occupied the old white house at National and Grand. She enjoys working on both the announcing side and in news and has been the recipient of statewide and national awards for news reporting. She likes to tell stories that make a difference. Michele enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking, camping and leisurely kayaking.
